The heart of Long Island’s Gold Coast is the setting for North Shore’s magnificent 14 acre country estate. Overlooking the Long Island Sound and alongside the 200 acre Welwyn Nature Preserve, North Shore evokes a warm and special feeling, unique to camping in Nassau County or anywhere else. Since 1943, North Shore Day Camp and School has been a leader in youth development, creating innovative and dynamic programs for pre-schoolers through teenagers. 

Develop and strengthen abilities at our four heated swimming pools, on-campus golf program, adventure program that includes three rock-climbing walls, high ropes, low ropes, zip line, mountain bike course and go-cart track, Spider Web, tennis courts, basketball courts, baseball fields, soccer fields, hockey rinks, sand volleyball courts, ga ga courts and tetherball courts.

Explore and develop your creative talents at our fine arts village where our art studios offer ceramics, woodworking, furniture building, beads and jewelry making, painting and drawing, and stage design. Exhibit you performing arts talent at our dance stages or drama stage.
