Stu Karp,
Aquatics Director

"This will be Stu’s 10th summer at NSDC. He is the Aquatics Director of the Mid Island Y and also teaches Lifeguard Training, Water Safety and First Aid/CPR for the Red Cross. He has been a lifeguard and water safety instructor for 42 years. He has been the aquatics director at several camps. “I hope the campers will all learn to swim or learn to swim better than they did in the past. We’re going to have a great time at NSDC!”

Eric Heischober,
Assistant Aquatics Director

"Eric has been a part of the swim staff for 4 years. During the year he is a physical education teacher in New York City and owns a private swim school. “I hope every child reaches his/her potential at swim.”

Jeanine Norton,
Assistant Aquatics Director

“This is my 3rd summer at NSDC.  Outside of camp I am an intensive care nurse. I have been a nurse for 13 yrs.  I recently left SNCH in Oceanside to work at a hospital closer to home in Syosset.  Prior to Nursing I received my BS in Physical Education and worked at the YMYWHA in Scarsdale as Aquatic Director and assistant PE director for 8 years.  I have two children at NSDC who are having amazing summers here.”

Jennifer Zaino,

"This is Jennifer’s 3rd year with us. She has actually been with our family of TLC camps since she was 4 ½. During the year Jennifer teaches Special Education in Levittown Elementary School. “I wish all of our campers a ‘swimtastic’ and fun-filled summer.”

Steve Cacioppo - Athlectic DirectorSteve Cacioppo,
Athletic Director

"Steve has been at North Shore Day Camp for seven years directing our dynamic Adventure Program consisting of high and low ropes, zip line, climbing walls, mountain bike course, go cart track and spider web. During the year he is a Physical Education teacher at Cold Spring Harbor High School, teaching grades 7 – 12 and coaching girls’ varsity soccer, basketball and softball. “I am extremely excited about being part of the leadership team at NSDC. My love of working with children and sports will be reflected in my new role at camp.”
