North Shore Day Camp Staff
North Shore Day Camp's formula is unique. We take pride in a staff development program that boasts the highest salaries in camping, a professional recruitment interview process and background check process, and an ongoing, extensive training program unsurpassed in the camping industry. Our multiple in-season staff evaluations, backed up by performance based bonuses, have no equal in the summer camp profession.
Small Groups With Exceptional Supervision
Over the years, North Shore has always been known for its ideal group size and exceptional staff. With a 1:3 staff to camper ratio, we ensure the best possible care, supervision and instruction.
The Highest Standard of Professionalism
To promote the highest standard of professionalism, unlike any in its class, North Shore Day Camp adheres to a strict NO TIPPING POLICY for its staff.
Our Leadership Team is a highly trained and dedicated group of exceptional adults. Group counselors and specialists are carefully selected through an innovative interview process developed by an internationally renowned personnel consulting firm.
On-going staff training program employs the services of top psychologists and child development experts for both our Leadership Team and general counselor staff. Training takes place all year round: during the winter months, an orientation in June, and throughout the summer season.
Our unique evaluation process requires our Leadership Team to work closely with their counselor staff, for they are responsible for performance-based bonuses. These bonuses are given to counselors in lieu of tipping, which is strictly prohibited at North Shore Day Camp. Our staff salaries, amongst the highest in the industry, ensure a wide pool of quality applicants and enable the camp to keep quality staff returning year after year.
