Camp Can’t Come Soon Enough!

Greetings from everyone here at North Shore Day Camp! The energy is high here at Camp as we get ready for another AMAZING summer! Camp is about to begin in just 2 days and there has been so much activity happening around here in preparation for the big day!  Returning staff and new staff joined together for several days of orientation, training and meetings to prepare us for the most amazing summer ever!

This year, we were lucky to have Dr. Sarah Cushman from the Holocaust Museum who gave a meaningful and informative speech about bullying.  Additionally, our seasoned staffers formed a panel and answered many questions about campers’ best moments, challenges, fears and expectations.  Orientation concluded with an inspirational speech from our Executive Director, Jay Jacobs, reminding our counselors of just how much they will gain from their experience here at North Shore this summer.

We know that the most important thing we can do for our campers is to make sure that they have fun this summer. How many people get to say that their job is to “professionally have fun?” Sun up to sun down we’re giving high fives, piggy back rides, eating birthday cakes, making friendship bracelets, telling silly stories, and performing in skits and plays!  North Shore Day Camp is known for having the most energetic, enthusiastic staff and we can’t wait to welcome our campers for summer 2013!  See you soon for an incredible summer that promises to be jam packed with fun!
